Big West Hockey Week!
Congratulation on the great game against Beloit!
This is another big hockey week for West:
Mon - Practice 6:30 pm off-ice & 8:05 pm Studio
Tues - GAME 8:00 pm West vs. Middleton - Teacher Appreciation
Wed - GAME 6:30 pm West vs. Catholic Memorial - Fanatical Fan Night (rescheduled from the snow day)
Thurs - Practice 6:00 pm off-ice & 7:30 pm ice
Fri - Practice 4:15 pm ice & 5:30 pm off-ice
Sat - GAME Away vs Beaver Dam @ 6:00 pm (bus leaves at 3:15 pm) - Paskus on Gatorade

Teacher Appreciation Night preparation
Parents and players –
Next Tuesday night, January 31, is Teacher Appreciation night.
Each player will select a teacher they would like to honor at the game. They personally invite the teacher to the game some time this week. The day before the game, each player delivers their "away" jersey to the teacher which the teacher wears TO school the day of the game and TO the game. The player also gives the teacher a thank you note which contains a gift certificate to the concession stand at the rink.
Prior to the start of the game, before the National Anthem, the announcer will say it is West High Teacher Appreciation night and will thank all teachers for their support and for attending the evening’s game. The announcer will also announce the name of the teacher who has been invited by the West player. It should be a fun event seeing all of the away jerseys in the stands.
I will be at the Team Brunch on Saturday morning with the Thank you notes. I will MAKE each player fill out while at breakfast on Saturday. I will then be at the rink at the end of practice on Monday night to make sure each player brings home his away jersey.
Players – Be sure to invite your teacher this week so they can plan to be at the game. Also get me the teacher’s name as soon as possible so I can have the list for announcer to read.

Rescheduled - AGAIN: Fanatical Fan Night Wednesday, Feb 1st @ 6:30 pm
Fanatical Fan Night for West Hockey rescheduled to Wed, 1/25 at 8 p.m. The National Anthem will be sung by West Chorus! Two fanatical fans will each receive $30 gift certificates from Bluephies. Judging will be based on dress and appropriate spirit during the first two periods of the game. Welcome to the Show Tshirts will be tossed into the student section in between periods. Join West Hockey and have a great time Wednesday night!
